Life, community, and distance in Ballard

A member of the Ballard community, Maryann Moore, describes what life is like living in the area during the COVID-19 outbreak. Maryann had been spending the day outside with the dog she is currently watching along with a few other members of the community. As the weather warms up, Maryann notes that she has been seeing a lot more people getting outside, and she said she feels as though being able to get outside is essential for people’s mental health right now. The Ballard Community Center may be closed, but the community is still coming together (from a distance) on its grassy areas to have some sense of normalcy.
